Vector Vs. Raster

What is Vector?

What is Vector? or What is Vector Image? or What is Vector Graphics?

In mathematics and physicsvector is a term that refers colloquially to some quantities that cannot be expressed by a single number (a scalar), or to elements of some vector spaces. In mathematicsphysics, and engineering, a Euclidean vector or simply a vector (sometimes called a geometric vector[1] or spatial vector[2]) is a geometric object that has magnitude (or length) and direction. Vectors can be added to other vectors according to vector algebra. A Euclidean vector is frequently represented by a directed line segment, or graphically as an arrow connecting an initial point A with a terminal point B.

What is Raster?

What is Raster? or What is Raster Image? or What is Raster Graphics?

In computer graphics and digital photography, a raster graphics represents a two-dimensional picture as a rectangular matrix or grid of square pixels, viewable via a computer displaypaper, or other display medium. A raster is technically characterized by the width and height of the image in pixels and by the number of bits per pixel. Raster images are stored in image files with varying  dissemination, production, generation, and acquisition formats.
