Mr. Ramveer Tanwar is a young Mechanical Engineer, an Environmentalist, TEDx Speaker, Social Worker and founder of Say Earth NGO. His primary interest or goal is to restore the Environment & make awareness about Environment. He started his campaign called Jal Chaupal in Gautam Budhha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh; urged people to conserve water and to save natural resources like ponds, lakes & Wetlands. This is how he started journey towards the Pond Man and gave solution of water crisis in India.
The Pond Man of India is actively working on movement “Ponds Restoration/Rejuvenation“, “Urban Afforestation” & Awareness & Advocacy“.
What Changes made by the Pond Man of India?
The above pictures clearly shows the difference made by the Pond Man of India. It’s amazing to see the situation before and after for pond restoration and how he saved India’s Dying ponds. The impact of work done by the pond man to the local community where the pond has been restored is very large.
Why it is Important to know about the Pond Man of India?
NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India) reported that India is undergoing the worst water crisis in its history and nearly 600 million people are facing the high to extreme water stress. This situation is going more worst with passing of time due to lack of awareness about the importance of environment and how the humans are affecting the mother nature.
“The Pond man has revived so many ponds in India which will help millions of life in villages and towns.” Environment Sustainability, i.e. meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs is only the solution for the World. It is everyone’s responsibility to conserve natural resources and protect the global environment.
