My website on first page of Google!!!!!
Once i was looking for, how i can get my website on first page of Google, while people searching for the AEC/EPC service, which i am serving.
Than I did little R&D on it, and found that it is possible by SEO.
SEO means – Search Engine Optimization.
What does it mean?…It means you need to optimize your website for search engine for generating more traffic. And to generate more traffic your website must come on first page of search by search engine.
The SEO is a broad topic and so many stuffs to discuss.
The major type included in SEO:
1. Onpage SEO:
It means the optimization needs to do on your website pages. I.e your website pages should be optimized for search engine. Mainly the home page.
Onpage SEO includes,
– Sitemap (XML)
– Metatag
– Keyword optimization
– Title Tag (Page Title)
– URL Structure
– Internal Link Structure
– Bounce Rate
– keyword density
– No. of words per page
– Limit the use of Flash
– Limit the use of Images
– Changing Content
– Robots.txt
– 404 pages
– “Nofollow” to spammers
– Alt: tags to your images & VIDEOS
– Graphic Design ( i.e Page speed and size matters)
– Do not use Black Hat SEO Technique
– Guest Blogging
– Trustworthiness of Domain Name ( The longer you’ve owned the domain, the better)
2. Offpage SEO:
It means the optimization needs to do out of your website pages.
Offpage SEO includes,
– Where your website resides matters
– Location Add to Google Map
– PPC (Pay Per Click campaign by Google Advertisement)
– URL submission to different Search Engine
– Social Media promotion (i.e facebook, linkedin, youtube, twitter, blog, etc…)
– Directory submission
Other than above you need to do Analyzing your competitors content, which is very important. SEO is not a single time process, it continues always.
What matters:
– No. of websites links to your website (Outgoing/Outbound)
– No. of websites links to your website (incoming/Inbound)
– Page rank of websites that links to you
– Search Engine rules and techniques that changes always
If you will apply above and following continuously, one day it is possible that your website will be on first page of Google.
But, do not make your business dependent on only SEO. Other than that, you should go for other marketing stuff like email marketing, calling, etc…
